Our document conversion service, Box.com, are experiencing a significant outage. Any new course documents uploaded to LearnUpon are affected, and will fail to convert for the time being. Course authors will be greeted with an error message telling them the conversion has failed.
Note that existing documents in courses are not affected, and learners can continue to take their courses and view documents as normal.
UPDATE 22:55 UTC: The Box.com outage is recovering. Almost all document conversion requests are now being processed as normal. If you are faced with a conversion error, please try uploading again.
As per earlier, this Box.com outage does not affect existing documents (or the learner experience) in any way, thanks to work we completed earlier in the year.
UPDATE 23:17 UTC The Box.com outage has been resolved, and we have not seen any document conversion errors for the last 20 minutes. We are considering the matter resolved, but will continue to monitor closely. This just affected adding new documents to courses; it did not affect any learners taking their enrolments, or any existing documents in any way.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
